About Comenius University:
The Comenius University in Bratislava was founded on 27 June 1919. It is named after Johann Amos Comenius, a famous pedagogue and philosopher. The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Comenius University is located in Bratislava, capital of the Slovak Republic, and was founded in 1952. The Faculty of Pharmacy has a reputable tradition, being the first pharmacy faculty in Slovakia, and is a highly respected educational and research institution in the whole European academic field. The high quality of teaching has attracted the best students from Slovakia and abroad. The Faculty of Pharmacy aims to provide students with the best professional training in pharmacy. About the course:
The Faculty of Pharmacy English Master programme is a 5-year course. The teaching methods include lecturing, laboratory practices, practical classes and researches, and international universities exchange programmes. Practicum can be within the Comenius University’s teaching pharmacies or under contracts in public or private pharmacies.
Since 2001/2002, all faculties of the Comenius University applied the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). ECTS is the credit system for higher education used in the European Higher Education Area, involving all EEC countries, like UK, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Holland, Czech, Hungary, Norway, Slovakia, etc. Academic qualifications of graduates from the ECTS credit system have been accredited worldwide.
Entrance examination and addmission process:
The entrance exam will be in the form of written test from Biology and Chemistry. candidate may achieve the maximum of 100 points in the written test: 50 points in Biology and 50 points in Chemistry.
The candidates will be admitted to the Faculty according to the order of placement in the list of the achievement of the examined students. In the event that the capacity of the Faculty is not saturated, the Dean of the Faculty will decide that further students will be admitted from the second round of the admission proceedings - also according to the of placement in the list of the achievement of the students examined in the second round.
Needed documents for registration for entrance examination:
1) Photocopy of the applicant´s passport (first page only).
2) High School Certificate. The school report should include all grades obtained during your studies. High school certificates must be apostalized (applicants will receive further instructions once the registration process has been initiated),
3) Birth Certificate,
5) Six (6) Passport-sized Photos.
